Thomas , a very knowledgeable and helpful person , I would definetly would recommend your instrument cluster with it's repairing, I am very pleased, I am sorry I didn't know of him sooner

I screwed up some needles and calibration on an attempted self-repair job and they fixed everything at no extra cost! lcd looks good as new.

Like everything you love about your car the one thing I hate the most is parting with its parts to get them repaired. I researched several web sites to make sure I found some one I can trust both to get the right job done and to return my cluster in one piece. Not caring so much as to how fast it got done, my concern was the service provided. From the very start I had some minor problems with filling out the work form and finding the specific model of my vehicle's cluster. I hesitated to send it but I felt that since the company is located south of Seattle in California at least I could get it delivered quicker and cheaper then back east.
Finding some minor glitches in their web site I decided to call them just to give them the benefit of the doubt. Well, that was the best thing I did. The manager, Thomas, put me at ease right away. The little problems I encountered in the web site was due to recent upgrades they had done and he looked them over with me on the phone and fixed them instantly. Matter of fact as it turns out I had to call him three more times all within a half hour and all three time he was super friendly and very knowledgable. He describe the entire process to fix both my speedometer cluster and my multifunction radio, engine parameters,etc display including the best way to wrap it so as to avoid getting any damages. I honestly thought he was going to loose it with me but remain calm and truly made me feel that my little piece of heaven would make there and back in one piece.
As far as the job I have no words to describe how incredibly awesome both units light up. I found out I had 35,000 less miles in my car then I had previously thought since I wasn't able to read the cluster before. The radio controls are bright and super clear. I am so immensely happy with the job and to their credit it got done in one day and send back to me right away. I send it priority US Mail on Friday and they received it Monday. I got it back by Wednesday so it got done that Tuesday. My friend has a 2001 740i and I am helping him box his cluster as I write this review. I highly recommend the guys at Bavtek Inc. -

Absolutely the best customer service I've encountered with an online company in many years. Tomas responded to all my questions before I made the purchase to have my 2000 BMW E39 540i dead instrument cluster pixel repaired, saving me valuable time and money. I was impressed by the speed in which they had the instrument cluster repaired and how quickly I received it back in the mail.
I would highly recommend their service to anyone who is experiencing the same problem with dead pixels, commonly found with BMWs.

I spent several YEARS attempting to get BMW NA to even REPLY to my queries on their Good Will program for my E38's dead pixel problem. That was completely fruitless (and certainly will sway my decision on future car purchase options...)
So next, I was thinking about doing this repair myself based on what I'd seen online. While doing my research on the process, I discovered BavTek. For the price paid, even including the extra $30 for the lifetime warranty, I figured they could do a better job in less time without risk of breaking something due to a first-timer's mistake.
I was so right! The unit was repaired quickly and returned just as fast. The information area is now bright and every pixel illuminates as if new.
Unless you just have a lot of time on your hands to do this repair (much less the parts and skill), you can't beat BavTek's repair for your BMW's pixel-based display. Clearly they have to tools and the know-how. I highly recommend them - even over BMW NA themselves. I wish I'd found BavTek 3-4 years ago as I'd have been enjoying a like-new display MUCH sooner.
