Got my tape unit (1999 E36) back yesterday and true to his promise - Tomas delivered fast and efficient fi to the volume control issue as well as adding BT upgrade. The BT was not initially responding well but Tomas guided me through some phone setting adjustments and now works great. So happy to rid myself of the tape adapter with dongle wire. Much cleaner look and sounds great. Highly recommend this service!

Great work!

Called the number advertised at the top of the page as I wanted to ensure the company indeed repairs your own radio as opposed to sending you another refurbed unit. He confirmed via text very promptly that they indeed do send you your own unit back. I also informed him in my grand genius of self repair I broke off a connector attached to the volume knob. He was able to quickly repair and have it sent back to me within less than 2 weeks! I was extremely happy, reinstallation of the radio confirmed it's working extremely well! Couldn't be happier!

Works Like New
Posted by Paul on 22nd Aug 2020
The factory radio on our 1998 BMW 328i was showing it's age. The display was faded out so bad most of the time you couldn't read it and the volume control knob would turn and turn but not actually change the volume at all.
Now, the display is bright and always on and the volume knob adjust the volume as you would expect.
I sent my radio out on a Saturday, had an email notifying me when it arrived for repair, received another email when it was shipped back (two days after it arrived) and it was back in the car the following Monday. 10 days total from when I pulled it out until it was back in and working.
Highly recommend; would use them again. -

Dealing with Tomas was an absolute pleasure! I sent my radio in for a volume issue and Bluetooth upgrade. The radio came back looking as good as new and also working great! Never thought I could have Bluetooth capability in my e36 M3!
Very happy and will be doing business with Tomas for all my BMW electronics needs. -
radio display fixed
Posted by Unknown on 8th Nov 2019
They fixed the display as advertised and with a quick turn around. The problem is probably cold solder joints and is apparently a common problem for this radio. I've seen similar problems on my older cars. Vibration and heat eventually causes solder joints to crack and become intermittent.

Product Description
Due to lots of requests I have figured out the way to add bluetooth into these vintage units. The bluetooth will work with the cassette player and will only work when the cassette is playing. A blank cassette will be supplied when I send the unit back. The Bluetooth circuit will be installed inside the radio so it will be clean as stock and no visible signs of modification. Also since the circuit board is wired directly to the chips, you're not going to have the loss of quality like you would on the Cassette Aux adapters they sell in stores.
LCD Display Is Dark, No Backlighting
Volume Not Adjusting Properly, Or Spins Freely
Randomly Shutting Itself Off
Any Dead Buttons That Do Not Depress We Will Fix Them As Well
We Will Even Accept Attempted Repairs At No Extra Cost
PLEASE NOTE: If your LCD is Sun Damaged or Delaminating, I do not repair that in this service! LCD's might be available for an additional cost but please contact me if this is your situation.
